One day last week, I drove all over Baltimore to compile footage of the various street scenes where homicides occurred in the span of one night. Here's the video report.

Hi, I'm Gus Sentementes....and I have a problem with gadgets. I'm a writer for the Baltimore Sun and somewhat of a "mobile journalist." I carry all the tools I need to be a one-man multimedia reporter, including: cellphone, GPS, wireless-enabled laptop with cellular-phone card, video camera, and a couple tripods. My car also has lots of pens and paper crammed in all its corners and crannies because it's always smart to have lots of those two basic tools. Because they don't use batteries that die on you.
